The Met Office has forecast hot and dry weather conditions across the city, with maximum temperatures expected to range between 34°C and 36°C on Friday. The heat is likely to intensify on Saturday, reaching between 35°C and 37°C, before climbing to around 38°C on Sunday. Officials have cautioned that temperatures could rise slightly higher if current weather patterns persist.
Meteorologists attribute the ongoing conditions to partially disrupted sea breezes and the influence of warm north-easterly winds. Early morning winds from Balochistan are also affecting the city, while the usual cooling south-westerly sea breeze remains weak.
Despite the increase in temperature, authorities say the likelihood of a full-scale heatwave remains low due to moderate humidity levels and the temporary nature of the sea breeze disruption. However, residents are expected to face uncomfortable conditions, particularly during afternoon hours.

In Sindh, areas such as Dadu, Larkana, and Jacobabad are among those on alert, along with parts of southern Punjab including Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan.
Authorities have advised citizens to stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight during peak hours, and take special care of vulnerable groups.
