(Web Desk): Cold and dry weather will prevail across most of Pakistan over the next 24 hours, while dense fog is expected to disrupt travel in Punjab, Sindh, and KP.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast cold and dry weather across most parts of the country during the next 24 hours, with very cold conditions in hilly areas and widespread fog affecting plains.

According to PMD, Islamabad and adjoining areas will experience partly cloudy and cold weather, with the possibility of frost at isolated locations during early morning hours.

Fog Alert for Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, cold and dry weather will dominate most districts, while very cold and partly cloudy conditions are expected in hilly regions. Moderate to dense fog is likely to affect Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi, Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat and Dera Ismail Khan during morning and night hours.

Punjab is also expected to remain cold and dry, while Murree and Galiyat may experience very cold and partly cloudy weather. Dense fog is forecast in a large number of districts including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Okara, Jhang, DG Khan and Rajanpur, severely reducing visibility.

Sindh and Balochistan Weather Outlook

In Sindh, cold and dry conditions will prevail across most districts, with moderate to dense fog likely in Sukkur, Rohri, Larkana, Dadu, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Shaheed Benazirabad and Mohenjodaro.

Balochistan will witness mainly cold and dry weather, while very cold and partly cloudy conditions are expected in northern districts. Fog may develop in Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Jaffarabad, Naseerabad, Jhal Magsi and Sibi during morning hours.

Very Cold Conditions in Northern Areas

PMD has predicted very cold and partly cloudy weather in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, with frost likely at isolated places in Kashmir during early morning.

Authorities advised citizens to take precautions, avoid unnecessary travel during foggy hours, and stay updated with official weather advisories.
