The Meteorological Department has issued a detailed forecast for Pakistan, warning of intensified cold weather across several cities, including Karachi, Multan, and Peshawar.
Karachi
In Karachi, northeast winds are blowing at 9 kilometers per hour, with humidity recorded at 93 percent, making nights feel colder than usual. Experts said a reduction in sea breezes combined with stronger continental winds may further lower temperatures. Citizens are advised to wear warm clothing, especially in the mornings and evenings.
Air Pollution Concerns in Multan
Southern Punjab’s city of Multan is experiencing alarming air pollution levels. The Air Quality Index (AQI) reached 314, which is considered harmful to health. The weather is expected to be partly cloudy, with maximum temperatures around 25 degrees Celsius and humidity at 54 percent. Health authorities urged residents to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities and to wear masks when going outside.
