Rain-wind/thunderstorm expected in Punjab, KP: PMD forecast

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) Rain-wind/thunderstorm is expected as a westerly wave is likely to affect upper parts of the country from today (Saturday evening/night).

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain-wind/thunderstorm (snowfall over the hills) is expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, upper/central Punjab, Pothohar region and Islamabad. Hailstorm is also expected at isolated places during the period. Cold and dry weather is expected in other parts of the country.

Cold and dry weather is expected in most parts, while very cold in upper parts and north Balochistan. Partly cloudy weather with light to moderate rain-wind/thunderstorm (snowfall over the hills) is expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, upper Punjab, Pothohar region and Islamabad. Hailstorm is also expected at isolated places during the period.

During the last 24 hours, cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country, while very cold in hilly areas.
