The PMD predicted that a series of westerly winds would move into the upper regions.
The Meteorological Department forecasts that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan will likely to receive rainfall with snowfall in hilly regions.
Rain is also expected in plains of Punjab, including the twin cities, Islamabad and Rawalpindi, as well as Balochistan, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
The strong winds, thunderstorms, and partly cloudy weather are expected during the next 24 hours in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Upper Punjab, Islamabad, and Northeastern Balochistan.
Since last month, some areas in the upper parts of the country have been experiencing mild smog. Whereas, Punjab’s capital, Lahore and a major city, Multan were choked by dense smog.
Meanwhile, PMD forecasts that other parts of the country will experience dry weather. Smog and fog are expected to engulf the most parts of Punjab.
