Fog (in patches) is likely in plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh during night/morning hours, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said in a statement.
It stated that continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. A shallow westerly wave is likely to affect western and upper parts from today (evening/night).
On Saturday, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, while very cold/cloudy in upper parts. Fog (in patches) is likely in plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh.
During the past 24 hours, cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country, while very cold in hilly areas. Moderate to dense fog persisted at few places of Punjab.
