Karachi woke up today under a blanket of low clouds, with a gentle breeze drifting in from the Arabian Sea.

Compared to many recent August mornings, the early morning temperature was cooler, at 27 °C (81 °F).

Before morning, a light drizzle was possible in some places, which added to the feeling of refreshment. The city will progressively warm during the day, reaching a high of 32 °C (89 °F) in the early afternoon.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), hourly temperatures are expected to follow a steady climb, 8 AM at 27 °C (81 °F), 10 AM at 29 °C (84 °F), 12 PM at 31 °C (88 °F), 2 PM at 32 °C (89 °F), then easing back to 29 °C (84 °F) by 6 PM and 28 °C (82 °F) by 8 PM.

The weather for the coming week is expected to be generally overcast and mild. There is a probability of light showers and temperatures between 27 and 31 °C on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Thursday and Friday may see a mix of sun and cloud, while Saturday stays humid with occasional cloud breaks.

Sunday, however, is expected to heat up to 35 °C (95 °F), with bright sunshine dominating the day.

Compared to last week’s intense humidity and sunshine, today feels more forgiving, offering residents a break before the return of hotter weather over the weekend.
