KARACHI: (Web Desk) The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued an alert in the coastal areas of Sindh given the cyclone threat.

Air pressure in the Arabia Sea

According to the Meteorological Department, there is strong air pressure in the Arabian Sea near Rann of Kutch, which is moving towards the Sindh coastline. The Meteorological Department says that this pressure may reach the coast by tonight or tomorrow and it is likely to create stormy conditions.

Forecast of cyclone and rains

Due to the air pressure, heavy rains are likely in various parts of Sindh like Tharparkar, Badin, Hyderabad, and Karachi. The Meteorological Department has said that the Cyclone Warning System is monitoring the situation and is ready to deal with any possible threat.

Precautions

Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz has said that the deep depression is 270 km southeast of Karachi and is likely to enter the sea soon. He warned that this could lead to flooding, which could lead to inundation of coastal areas such as Ibrahim Haidari and Mubarak Village.
