Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a 10% discount on fares for passengers travelling from Paris to Pakistan, aiming to make international travel more affordable and attractive.
According to a PIA spokesperson, passengers can book tickets under the special offer until February 10, 2026. The discounted fares will be available for travel during two selected periods, from February 1 to March 10 and from May 1 to May 15, 2026. The airline said the initiative is designed to provide better value for passengers on one of its most popular European routes.
The announcement comes as PIA works to strengthen its international operations. Officials briefing the Senate Standing Committee on Privatization revealed that the national carrier plans to resume and expand several international routes in the coming months. After stabilizing operations to the United Kingdom and Europe, PIA may also restore direct flights to the United States later this year.
Government officials informed the committee that the privatization of PIA is expected to generate around Rs 55 billion in revenue. However, major overseas properties of the airline will remain under state ownership as part of the restructuring plan.

They also noted that PIA has taken significant steps to settle its outstanding liabilities, easing the financial burden on the national exchequer. Authorities believe these measures will improve the airline’s financial health and make it more attractive to potential investors.
With discounted fares, route expansion plans, and progress on privatization, PIA appears to be positioning itself for a stronger comeback in the international aviation market.
