Uzbek president to arrive in Pakistan tomorrow for two-day visit

Islamabad (Web Desk): Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is set to arrive in Pakistan for a two-day official visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, officials confirmed.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will be accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes senior cabinet members and leading business figures from Uzbekistan.

During the visit, President Mirziyoyev will meet President Asif Ali Zardari and hold delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz to review bilateral relations.

The Uzbek leader is also scheduled to address the Pakistan-Uzbekistan Business Forum, where both sides are expected to explore new business and investment opportunities.

Key discussions will focus on trade, energy, defense, education, people-to-people contacts, and regional connectivity aimed at linking Central and South Asia.

This will be only the second visit by an Uzbek President to Pakistan, highlighting growing trust and momentum in relations between the two countries.

The Foreign Office said Pakistan and Uzbekistan share deep historical links, common faith, and a joint commitment to peace and stability in the region.

Earlier, Pakistan also signed 37 MoUs with Kazakhstan to expand cooperation in sectors including energy, transport, technology, health, education, climate change, and culture.
