ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): Pakistan has introduced a special visa-on-arrival policy for individuals attending Islamabad Talks 2026, including foreign delegates and international media.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar shared the update on social media, stating that Pakistan welcomes all participants, including journalists from countries involved in the talks.

He said airlines have been instructed to allow passengers to board even without a prior visa, as immigration authorities in Pakistan will issue visas on arrival at airports.

The Ministry of Interior has also confirmed this decision through an official notification. It stated that all individuals traveling for Islamabad Talks 2026 will be granted visa-on-arrival facilities.

Authorities have directed airlines to fully facilitate passengers. Special facilitation desks have also been established at airports to assist incoming delegates and ensure a smooth process.

This step comes as Pakistan takes on a central diplomatic role following the recent ceasefire between the United States and Iran. Islamabad is now hosting important negotiations between the two countries.

According to sources, delegation-level talks are starting today, while the main phase of discussions is expected on Saturday.

The United States delegation will be led by Vice President JD Vance, along with senior officials Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

On the Iranian side, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf will represent their country.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the venue and reviewed security arrangements to ensure readiness for the high-level meetings.

Pakistan’s growing role in diplomacy has gained global attention, especially after its recent efforts helped bring both sides back to the negotiating table during rising tensions.
