Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced a 48-hour suspension of gas supply to industrial users and CNG stations, citing increased winter demand and the need to maintain adequate pressure for domestic and commercial consumers.
According to an official statement, the temporary suspension will begin at 8:00 AM on Saturday, January 31, and continue until 8:00 AM on Monday, February 2. The decision has been taken to prioritize household gas supply and ensure uninterrupted service during peak winter months.
The company stressed that if any domestic consumer experiences low gas pressure during this period, they can contact the 24-hour helpline at 1199 to lodge complaints. SSGC assured that its teams will respond promptly to resolve any issues.

The statement also highlighted that under normal gas load management practices, domestic and commercial users already experience routine supply suspensions daily from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM. The 48-hour suspension is an extraordinary step aimed at balancing supply across all sectors during high-demand winter conditions.
SSGC urged industrial users, including captive power plants and CNG stations, to plan operations accordingly and thanked consumers for their understanding and cooperation. The company emphasized that these measures are temporary and designed to maintain system stability while ensuring households receive uninterrupted gas.
