Sindh police reveals key details in Mir Raza murder case after 19 days
Police share new details after 19 days
Sindh Police have broken their silence on the Mir Raza murder case after 19 days, sharing details of the investigation as officials examine medical, chemical and digital evidence.
Mir Raza, 25, was allegedly kidnapped from PECHS before his body was found in bushes near a wedding hall in Gulistan-e-Johar on July 29.
The circumstances surrounding the Mir Raza death initially remained unclear, with questions raised over whether he had been murdered or died by suicide.
However, a second post-mortem supported his family’s claim that he had been killed. The Mir Raza autopsy findings have since become an important part of the investigation.
The case has also faced public scrutiny after the Sindh Police chief acknowledged shortcomings in the initial probe.
Medical and forensic reports reviewed
According to police, investigators are reviewing medical reports, digital evidence and material collected during the earlier investigation.
The investigation team has received two post-mortem reports, one final report and three chemical analysis reports. The latest chemical report was received on August 17.

Officials are comparing the reports to identify differences and points that require further explanation.
The Mir Raza investigation is also examining information provided by family members, friends and other relevant sources.
The review could help investigators establish a clearer timeline and determine how different pieces of evidence are connected.
Digital evidence becomes a key focus
Investigators have contacted the Punjab Forensic Science Agency to examine data from Raza’s mobile phone and smartwatch.
The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency has also been approached over matters related to digital currency.
Apple officials have reportedly been contacted to assist with unlocking Raza’s mobile phone. Investigators hope the device may contain information that could help answer important questions.
The developments could prove significant for the Wafflix owner murder, as police continue examining evidence from several sources.
Police said further clarification of the chemical analysis could help establish links between the available evidence.
Family lawyer raises concerns
Jibran Nasir, who represents Raza’s family, has expressed concern over references to ambiguities in the medical and chemical reports.

He called for a transparent investigation based on the available evidence.

In a post on X, he said, “any attempts to push narrative of suicide will be suicide for Sindh govt and police's credibility.”
