Saudi Arabia opens Umrah visa applications for new season
Saudi Arabia has announced the start of Umrah visa applications for the new season, bringing good news for millions of Muslims around the world planning to perform the pilgrimage.
According to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the issuance of Umrah visas officially began on May 31, while the arrival of international pilgrims has also started from the same date.
Saudi authorities said preparations for the 1448 Hijri Umrah season were launched immediately after the completion of this year’s Hajj arrangements. The move is aimed at ensuring a smooth and organized experience for visitors coming from different countries.
The ministry confirmed that Umrah visas will continue to be issued until March 9, 2027. International pilgrims will be allowed to enter Saudi Arabia under Umrah visas until March 23, 2027, providing a long window for Muslims to plan their spiritual journey.
Officials said visitors can now obtain Umrah permits and permissions to enter Makkah through the Nusuk application. The digital platform serves as a central system for permits, bookings and a range of Hajj and Umrah-related services.
Saudi authorities said the platform has been designed to improve convenience, efficiency and transparency for pilgrims by offering a streamlined online process.
Reports also stated that all Umrah pilgrims must leave the Kingdom by April 7, 2027, in line with the official schedule announced for the season.
The latest announcement signals Saudi Arabia’s continued efforts to enhance services for pilgrims and facilitate the arrival of millions of worshippers seeking to perform Umrah during the new season.
