A sharp increase in medicine prices has created serious problems for patients, especially those who rely on regular treatment. Many people are now struggling to afford even basic medicines.
According to reports, prices of medicines for different illnesses have risen significantly, with some increasing by more than 100%. This includes common drugs such as antibiotics, painkillers, and medicines for diabetes, blood pressure, stomach issues, allergies, and cough.
Several commonly used medicines, including BV Dox, Stresstabs, Surbex Z, Lysovit Lotion, Caricef, Cefix, and Getryl, have seen notable price hikes, making them harder for ordinary citizens to afford.
Another worrying issue is the price difference between different batches of the same medicine. This has raised concerns among the public about how medicine prices are being monitored.

Experts warn that if prices continue to rise, people may stop taking medicines midway, which can lead to serious health problems.
The Drug Lawyers Forum has also taken notice of the issue and announced that it will pursue legal and constitutional action against the price hikes.
