(Web Desk): The Punjab PSER Survey has registered over 9 million households to ensure efficient, transparent delivery of social welfare programs across the province.

The Punjab government has announced significant progress in the ongoing Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) Survey, a crucial initiative aimed at identifying deserving households for social protection and welfare programs across the province. According to official updates, survey teams have successfully registered over 9 million households, covering nearly 40 million citizens through detailed door-to-door visits.

Launched under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the PSER survey seeks to establish a comprehensive and transparent data system to ensure that government support reaches the most deserving families. The updated registry will help eliminate duplicate, outdated, or fraudulent records, enabling the efficient delivery of financial assistance, health insurance, and other social safety net programs.

Field teams have been deployed across all districts to verify household income, living conditions, and eligibility for various welfare initiatives. Officials report high public participation, with residents cooperating to provide accurate information. The data collected will directly support programs such as Punjab Ehsaas initiatives, health insurance schemes, and financial support packages for low-income families, ensuring resources are targeted effectively.

The district administration has been instructed to closely monitor survey teams, maintaining transparency and accountability throughout the process. Awareness campaigns are also being conducted across the province to encourage families to participate and understand the long-term benefits of the registry.

The PSER survey is scheduled for completion by 31 December 2025, after which the collected data will be integrated into Punjab’s central welfare database. Citizens seeking guidance or assistance regarding the survey can call the helpline 0800-02345.

Officials emphasize that the PSER initiative represents a major step toward building a fair, inclusive, and efficient welfare system in Punjab. By accurately identifying eligible households, the government aims to ensure that social protection programs are delivered transparently, reducing fraud and maximizing benefits for those who need them most.
