Punjab launches new scooty schools for students
The Punjab government has established five new scooty training schools to facilitate students applying under the CM Punjab E-Bike Scheme.
The training schools have been established at Abshar Driving School, Liberty Khidmat Markaz, Greater Iqbal Park, Traffic Police Lines Manawan and LOS Ferozepur Road.
Dedicated Gen Z counters have also been established at licensing centres to make the process easier for young applicants. Students seeking a scooty licence have been advised to bring their CNIC, B-Form and guardian when visiting the relevant centre.
Free scooty training for women
The LOS Ferozepur Road facility is offering free scooty driving training for women. Lahore Traffic Police officials said thousands of women have already received driving training through traffic police schools.
Officials said the initiative aims to help women become confident drivers and promote greater independence through driving skills.
Students can apply online
Students interested in the CM Punjab E-Bike Scheme can submit their applications through the official Punjab e-bike portal at bikes.punjab.gov.pk.
Applicants should check the eligibility requirements and provide the required information through the official portal. The scheme is designed to improve students’ access to affordable transport while encouraging safe and responsible driving.
Lahore Chief Traffic Officer Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi said women are being provided a dedicated women-to-women service at the scooty schools. He added that empowering women with driving skills could bring positive changes to society.
