(Web Desk): The Punjab government has decided to expand the ‘Maryam ko batayein’ programme, allowing more citizens to access services and register complaints more easily.

The Punjab government has approved a major expansion of the “Maryam ko batayein” programme aimed at improving public services and ensuring the quick resolution of citizens’ complaints.

According to officials, new eligibility criteria, financial allocations and budget approvals have been finalized to widen the programme’s reach and include more citizens across the province.

The decision was taken following a request by the chairman of the Planning and Development (P&D) Board, after which the government also approved the expansion of services available through the “Maryam ko batayein” mobile application.

Authorities said the programme is already providing several basic public services at citizens’ doorsteps, and additional measures are now being introduced to make the system faster, more transparent and more effective.

The Punjab government stated that all relevant departments will be activated to ensure the immediate resolution of public complaints. Monitoring systems are also being upgraded to guarantee timely action on complaints registered by citizens.

Officials emphasized that delays in delivering services or addressing complaints will not be tolerated, and departments have been instructed to improve response times and public coordination.

Sources said the inclusion of more citizens in the programme will strengthen communication between the public and the government, enabling residents to directly report their issues, complaints and service needs.

The government believes the expanded programme will improve access to public services, increase transparency and boost public confidence in government institutions across Punjab.
