Punjab announces Eidul Azha 2026 holidays, notification issued
According to an official notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department, public holidays will be observed for three days. The holidays will fall on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during Eidul Azha celebrations.
The provincial government said the decision applies to all areas of Punjab. Authorities have directed all concerned departments to implement the official holiday schedule across the province.
The notification was issued by the Welfare Wing of the Services and General Administration Department. Officials also instructed that the announcement should receive wide coverage through electronic media.
The government further directed that the notification must be published in major English and Urdu newspapers. National and regional media outlets have been asked to give proper publicity to the Eid holiday announcement.

People across Punjab are expected to make travel and family plans during the holidays. Markets, transport services and shopping areas may also witness increased activity before Eidul Azha.
The official announcement will help people prepare early for Eid celebrations. They say clear holiday schedules also reduce confusion for offices, schools and businesses across the province.
