Private Hajj complaints deadline set for October 20
Private Hajj complaints deadline
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has given private Hajj pilgrims a final opportunity to file complaints against Hajj organizing companies by October 20, 2026.
The ministry said pilgrims who performed Hajj under the private scheme last year can approach the relevant authorities if they faced problems with their Hajj operator. They must submit supporting evidence along with their complaints for the cases to be considered.
Complaints must include evidence
According to the ministry, complaints can be sent by post or email to the Section Officer Monitoring. Pilgrims have been advised to provide complete details and relevant documents so that the ministry can examine their grievances.
The latest deadline follows the ministry’s ongoing monitoring of private Hajj operators and efforts to address complaints related to services provided to pilgrims. The ministry has also recently urged pilgrims to formally report booking-related issues involving private operators.
The ministry clarified that complaints received after October 20, 2026, will not be entertained. After the deadline, matters concerning Hajj organizing companies will be considered finally settled.
Performance guarantee return
If no complaint is received against a private Hajj operator, the ministry will consider the company’s performance record clear for the relevant process. The return of performance guarantees will then begin after October 20.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has maintained a monitoring and complaint mechanism for private Hajj schemes, with unresolved complaints subject to the relevant complaint disposal process.
