PM Shehbaz signs Iran–US MoU as mediator, helping finalise deal to end conflict and reopen Strait of Hormuz.
The statement said the signatures of US President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian were already present on the document before Pakistan’s final endorsement as mediator.
It added that both the United States and Iran had already signed the agreement ahead of schedule, formally ending the conflict and agreeing to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The MoU has now come into effect.

According to details, US President Donald Trump signed the Iran–US Memorandum of Understanding in the presence of French President Emmanuel Macron during the signing process.
Meanwhile, Iranian state media also released images confirming that President Masoud Pezeshkian had signed the agreement, marking Iran’s official participation in the peace arrangement.
Officials described the development as a major diplomatic breakthrough. They said the agreement aims to end hostilities and restore regional stability through negotiated settlement and cooperation.
