PM Shehbaz arrives in Quetta to chair key security meeting
Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Quetta on Thursday for a one-day visit, accompanied by members of the federal cabinet. His visit is expected to focus on the security situation and the progress of development projects in Balochistan.
The prime minister was received at Quetta International Airport by Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, Inspector General of Police Moazzam Jah Ansari, and other senior government officials.
According to official sources, the prime minister will chair a meeting of the provincial Apex Committee, which will be attended by senior civil and military officials.

The meeting is expected to review the overall law and order situation in Balochistan, discuss key security issues, and assess the progress of ongoing development projects across the province.
Officials are also expected to discuss measures to further improve peace, stability, and coordination between civil and military institutions.
The visit comes as the federal government continues its efforts to strengthen security, accelerate development projects, and improve governance in Balochistan.
