Pink Bus Service launched as Balochistan moves to expand safe and dignified transport options for women across major districts.
A Major Step for Women’s Mobility
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti inaugurated the province’s first Pink Bus Service in Quetta, calling it an important milestone for women who rely on public transport. He said this new service strengthens recent moves such as the Pink Scooties program, showing the government’s ongoing commitment to women’s empowerment.
Recognition for Women in Leadership
Speaking at the ceremony, CM Bugti appreciated the performance of women deputy commissioners, stating that their efficient work clearly proves women can handle major administrative roles with full capability. He said scholarships, transport projects, and development schemes aim to open more opportunities for women in different sectors.
CM Bugti Targets ‘Extremist Elements’
He strongly criticised groups he described as ‘extremist elements,’ accusing them of misleading Baloch women and dragging them toward harmful agendas. He said the government wants women to choose education, development, and global exposure rather than being pushed into damaging paths.
