A key development has emerged in the investigation into the Mir Raza murder case after the driver who transported him on the night of the killing recorded his statement with police.

According to the driver’s statement, a ride for Mir Raza was booked at 3:57am on July 28, while the journey officially began at 4:09am.

The driver said they travelled from Khalid Bin Waleed Road towards Tariq Road before heading to Millennium Mall and then Johar Mor. From Johar Mor, they continued towards Mosamiyat and passed Continental Bakery.

During the journey, Mir Raza reportedly used his mobile phone to play songs through the vehicle’s Bluetooth system.

The driver told police that Mir Raza did not receive any phone calls during the journey and did not make any calls himself.

According to the statement, Mir Raza continued giving the driver directions throughout the trip, and the driver followed his instructions.

The driver also said Mir Raza asked him to drive faster because he wanted to reach his destination quickly.

The statement is expected to help investigators establish a clearer timeline of Mir Raza’s movements before the murder and identify any important gaps in the sequence of events.
