(Web Desk): A 3.8-magnitude earthquake shook Khuzdar district in Balochistan, causing minor tremors but no reported damage.

A mild earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter scale was felt near Khuzdar district in Balochistan on February 13, officials confirmed.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the tremor occurred at 10:52 AM and its epicenter was located approximately 75 kilometers southeast of Khuzdar, at a depth of 33 kilometers.

Local residents reported sudden shaking of buildings that lasted only a few seconds. There were no immediate reports of casualties or property damage, and the quake’s intensity was considered minor, causing no widespread panic.

Experts noted that Balochistan lies in a seismically active zone, where small and medium-sized earthquakes are recorded from time to time. Authorities have advised citizens to follow safety measures during tremors, including staying away from tall buildings or structures that appear weak.

The PMD also urged people to remain alert and stay in contact with local authorities for updated information. Meanwhile, district administration teams in Khuzdar have begun monitoring the effects of the quake and have been instructed to remain prepared for any emergency situations.
