(Web Desk): Middle East war disrupts global flight operations, causing over 150 cancellations during Eid as regional airports shut and airspace faces major restrictions.

Ongoing conflict in the Middle East has significantly disrupted international flight operations, leading to widespread cancellations and airspace restrictions across the region.

According to airport sources, the situation has caused a major breakdown in flight schedules, affecting both domestic and international travel during the busy Eid period.

Airports Shut Down Across the Region

Several key airports in the Middle East have been impacted:

  • Kuwait, Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, and Syria – Airports fully closed
  • Al Ain and Fujairah – Partial restoration of flight operations

The closures have forced airlines to cancel, delay, or reroute flights, creating significant inconvenience for passengers.

Over 150 Flights Cancelled During Eid Holidays

Flight cancellations surged during the three days of Eid-ul-Fitr, with more than 150 flights cancelled nationwide:

  • Day 1: 73 flights cancelled
  • Day 2: 40 flights cancelled
  • Day 3: 41 flights cancelled

The disruption has particularly affected passengers traveling to and from Middle Eastern destinations.
