Metro bus service suspended in Lahore due to Data Darbar Urs
Metro Bus Service suspended for one day
The Punjab authorities have temporarily suspended the Metro Bus Service across Lahore because of security measures for Data Darbar Urs and Chehlum Lahore.
Officials said the service will remain closed throughout the day to help law enforcement manage the large number of visitors expected during the religious events.
Entire Metro route and stations closed
According to the administration, the complete Metro Bus Service route has been shut down temporarily.
All Metro bus stations will remain closed until the suspension is lifted. Passengers have been advised to avoid visiting Metro stations today and use alternative transport.
Security arrangements behind the decision
Authorities explained that the suspension is part of a comprehensive security plan for Data Darbar Urs and Chehlum Lahore.
Thousands of devotees are expected to attend the events, prompting officials to restrict traffic movement around sensitive areas to ensure public safety.
Police and other security agencies have been deployed across the city to maintain law and order during the gatherings.

Orange Line and Speedo buses continue operating
While the Metro Bus Service remains suspended, commuters can still travel using the Orange Line Metro Train.
Officials confirmed that Orange Line operations are running normally without any interruption.
Similarly, all Speedo bus routes are functioning according to their regular schedule, providing an alternative travel option for passengers affected by the Metro closure.
Passengers advised to plan ahead
Transport officials have requested commuters to check available travel options before leaving home.
People travelling across Lahore are encouraged to use the Orange Line or Speedo buses until the Metro Bus Service resumes operations after the security arrangements conclude.
