Islamabad Police issues Basant 2026 traffic advisory for February 5
(Web Desk): Islamabad Police issued a traffic advisory for today, alerting commuters to possible diversions and increased congestion across key city routes during Basant.

According to the Islamabad Police spokesperson, traffic diversions will be enforced from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM on major roads including the Expressway, Murree Road, and Club Road. Motorists traveling from Rawalpindi to Islamabad are advised to use Rawal Road, Ninth Avenue, Faqir Appi Road, and Srinagar Highway. Those heading from Islamabad to Rawalpindi are recommended to take Zero Point and Srinagar Highway via Ninth Avenue.

Travelers coming from Murree and Bara Kahu toward Islamabad are advised to use Korang Road, Bani Gala, Park Road, and Lehtrar Road, while citizens traveling from Serena and Bahara Kahu to Rawalpindi are suggested to prefer Park Road and Khanna routes.

The spokesperson also highlighted that Islamabad Traffic Police officers will be present on roads to guide commuters and urged citizens to contact Traffic Helpline 1915 or Pukar 15 for real-time updates and assistance.
