Govt to introduce electric bus service in Attock after Eid
Punjab Transport Minister Bilal Akbar Khan said during his visit to Attock that arrangements for the new service are in the final stage.
He reviewed facilities at the General Bus Stand and Electric Vehicle Stand and praised the efforts of the transport authorities in improving services.
He added that the project is part of the broader vision to upgrade Attock transport service under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz. The electric buses are expected to start running within eight to nine days after Eid.
According to officials, the new fleet will offer modern and low-cost travel with a fare of Rs20. The buses will include mobile charging ports, cashless payment options, security cameras, panic buttons, and a separate space for women to ensure safe travel.
