Hyderabad (Web Desk): The Sindh government has announced a new phase of its Pink Scooty Scheme aimed at improving transport access and mobility for women across the province.

Sindh govt to distribute Pink scooties in Hyderabad tomorrow under women mobility initiative to empower women. According to the Sindh Information Department, pink electric scooties will be distributed in Hyderabad on 22 May under the women-focused transport program.

Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon called the initiative a “revolutionary step” that is helping female students and working women travel more easily and independently.

He said the scheme is designed to provide safe, affordable, and environment-friendly transport options for women. Under the program, selected women will also receive driving training, helmets, and road safety awareness to ensure safe use of the scooties.

Officials said the initiative is being gradually expanded to other cities as part of Sindh’s wider transport modernization plan, which also includes electric buses and the Peoples Bus Service expansion.

He added that the Pink Scooty project is a welfare initiative and scooties are being provided completely free of cost to eligible women. Authorities said the aim is to empower women and support their participation in education and employment by improving safe transport access.
