Govt increases petrol and diesel prices again
New petrol price announced
The petrol price in Pakistan has been increased by Rs5.77 per litre, taking the new rate to Rs331.20 per litre. The previous rate was Rs325.43.
The latest petrol price today is part of the government’s daily fuel pricing mechanism, under which rates can change according to international oil market movements.

Diesel also becomes more expensive
The government has also raised the price of high-speed diesel by Rs6.47 per litre. The diesel price Pakistan consumers will pay is now Rs390.42 per litre, up from Rs383.95.
The latest diesel price today is expected to affect transport operators, businesses and other sectors that depend heavily on diesel.
What the latest increase means
The rise in the petrol rate Pakistan consumers face could increase daily travelling costs for motorists. It may also add pressure to transport expenses.
Higher diesel prices can have a wider impact because diesel is commonly used by buses, trucks, agricultural machinery and commercial vehicles.
