This solar car has many features; the most prominent one is that it charges from solar energy with the solar panels installed on its roof and it can travel up to 100km in a single recharge. On sunny days, the range can extend to 150 km which is ideal for short to medium urban travel. It can also be charged with standard Electric Vehicle (EV) charger.
Admirably, this car is second to none in performance, it has all modern facilities available in other cars. It has air conditioner, heater, sunroof etc. for the comfort of the passengers. Top speed of the vehicle is 50km/h which officials say is enough for city and neighborhood travel.

This major milestone achieved by the Punjab authorities is to foster solar energy use. In a recent meeting in energy department, the Provincial Minister of energy highlighted the use of solar energy for the purpose of transportation that will reduce costs for public and industries.
General public is delighted by this move as this initiative is very beneficial for the daily routine trips, for example, travel to offices, schools, relatives, shopping etc. especially amid fluctuating fuel prices.
