FESCO announces major power shutdown schedule
Faisalabad Electric Supply Company has released a detailed schedule of planned electricity shutdowns in different areas of Faisalabad and nearby regions due to maintenance and upgrade work on transmission lines and grid stations.
According to FESCO spokesperson Saeed Raza, the temporary suspension of electricity supply is necessary for repair work, expansion projects and replacement of electrical infrastructure to improve the overall power distribution system.
Under the announced schedule, on May 16 power supply will remain suspended from 8am to 12pm from several feeders connected to the 132kV Value Addition City Grid Station. The affected feeders include Sadaqat, Gohar Textile Mills, New Ahmed Jamal Textile Mills, Chawla Enterprises and Tricon Beverages. Consumers connected to the Lahore Road feeder of the 132kV Khurrianwala Grid Station will also face outages during the same period.
On May 17, electricity will remain unavailable from 8am to 1pm on the Chenab Garden and Niamo Ana feeders linked to the 132kV Samundri Road Grid Station.
Similarly, on May 18 multiple feeders of the 132kV Kamal Pur Grid Station, including Jeevan Shah, Abdullah Fibres, Tayyab Textile Mill and several industrial feeders, will remain affected from 8am to 1pm. Power supply from the Sufi Di Kothi feeder of Lalianwala Grid Station and Ravi feeder of Satiana Grid Station will also stay suspended.
FESCO officials urged residents and businesses to cooperate during the maintenance process and make alternative arrangements to avoid inconvenience during the scheduled outages.
