BISP's big warning: Free SIM deadline & stipend alert for women
BISP Alerts Beneficiaries Against Fraud and Payment Deductions
The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has issued an urgent advisory to beneficiary women across Pakistan, directing them to immediately report any individual attempting to withhold, deduct, or demand a share of their stipend money. A spokesperson clarified that the funds are provided by the Government of Pakistan and belong solely to the eligible woman, with no third party authorized to interfere in disbursement.
Report Blackmail and Threats on BISP Helpline
Beneficiaries were cautioned against succumbing to threats, pressure, or blackmail regarding their payments. Anyone found obstructing disbursement or demanding money should be reported immediately on the BISP helpline, 0800-26477.
Free SIM Deadline Set for September 10
Separately, BISP announced that women receiving financial assistance must collect their free Benazir SIM card from their nearest BISP office by September 10. Officials warned that beneficiaries who fail to obtain the free SIM will not receive their quarterly Benazir Kafalat installment, as payments are now being routed through digital wallets.
BISP Urges Timely Compliance
The programme urged all eligible women to complete the SIM registration process before the deadline to avoid disruptions in receiving future financial assistance installments.
