(Web Desk): BISP and NADRA launch facial recognition system for women facing fingerprint verification issues.

The Benazir Income Support Program Chairperson, Senator Rubina Khalid, has announced a major update for eligible women under the program. In collaboration with NADRA, BISP has introduced a new verification system that allows women who cannot verify their fingerprints to confirm their identity through facial recognition.

NADRA Mobile Vans Deployed Nationwide

To make the process accessible, NADRA’s mobile registration vans will be stationed across the country at BISP regional offices. Women whose fingerprints fail verification can visit the nearest mobile van or NADRA office with their original CNIC. If fingerprint verification is unsuccessful, facial recognition will be used to authenticate their identity.

Certificate and Registration Process

Once verification is complete, NADRA will issue a certificate for a nominal fee of Rs 20. Beneficiaries must then register this certificate at their nearest BISP office. After registration, a confirmation message will be sent to their mobile phones.

Payment Procedure

Within a few days, BISP will transfer funds to the registered accounts, with confirmation sent via SMS from 8171. Women can then collect their payments from the nearest BISP payment center.

Senator Rubina Khalid emphasized that this initiative ensures no eligible woman is left out due to technical verification issues, making BISP assistance more accessible and convenient nationwide.
