After the vibrant return of Basant in Lahore, the traditional kite-flying festival is now being celebrated in Quetta with great enthusiasm and cultural spirit.
Local administration and police have issued strict safety guidelines, urging citizens to celebrate Basant in a peaceful and responsible manner. Authorities have clearly warned against aerial firing, which has previously caused serious injuries and fatalities during such events.
According to officials, Basant festivities in Quetta will continue from February 13 to February 15. Special security arrangements have been put in place across key areas to ensure public safety and prevent any untoward incidents.
The revival of Basant in Lahore earlier created a wave of excitement after nearly two decades. Thousands of residents gathered on rooftops and streets, flying colorful kites and enjoying traditional music, food, and family gatherings. The celebrations brought back memories of the city’s historic cultural heritage.
