AJK suspends top police officials in major administrative crackdown
AJK President Chaudhry Latif Akbar ordered action against several officials following allegations of negligence and misconduct.
According to an official notification, Senior Inspector General of Police Sartaj Aziz was removed from his position.
The president’s decision has resulted in changes at senior levels of the police department.
Kotli and Mirpur officials also suspended
The action was not limited to senior police leadership.
In Kotli, Superintendent of Police Adeel Ahmed and Deputy Commissioner Imran Shaheen were suspended.
The decisions indicate that the AJK administration is taking a tougher position on officials accused of failing to perform their duties.

New officials take charge in Kotli
Following the suspension of the deputy commissioner, Muhammad Usman Sarim has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of Kotli.
The changes are expected to bring new leadership to the district administration while the suspended officials face further proceedings.
