(Web Desk) In a major relief move, the Government of Pakistan has announced a special financial aid package of Rs27,000 for low-income women under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) 8171.

This help is specifically for those women who missed previous payments due to issues like incomplete dynamic survey, biometric verification failure, or problems with their national ID cards. Now, these women will receive the full pending amount, and disbursements will officially begin from June 23, 2025.

The June 2025 installment will be Rs13,500, as it includes the amount that could not be disbursed earlier. This initiative is designed to clear all backlogs and provide immediate financial support to deserving women.

If a woman’s biometric and ID card details are successfully updated, she will receive double payment. Many beneficiaries previously faced technical glitches or document issues, but now those obstacles have been resolved in the new payment cycle.

BISP has urged women to keep their mobile numbers registered and active, as they will receive payment information via SMS. Even those women who were previously removed from the system but are now re-included are also eligible for this Rs27,000 assistance.

How to Check If You Are Eligible:

There are two simple ways to check if you qualify for the current BISP payment:

SMS your CNIC number to 8171 to get your payment status.

Visit your nearest BISP office and ask a representative to verify your profile.

If your information is updated and biometric verification is successful, your name will be automatically included in the payment list.

If you re facing any issues related to eligibility — like problems with biometric verification, survey data, or ID cards — immediate action is needed:

Visit the nearest NADRA office to fix your ID card problems or get a new one.

Then go to your local BISP office at the tehsil level to complete the dynamic survey.

It’s very important that your mobile number is active and correctly linked to your ID card. Women who complete these steps before June 23 will be given priority in the current payment cycle.

Once you receive a confirmation message from 8171, you can collect your money by showing your original CNIC at the designated payment center or partner agent.

Important Note: All payments from BISP are completely free. If anyone demands a fee or cuts money, it is illegal. Immediately report it to the BISP helpline.

This initiative is part of the government’s effort to make sure no deserving woman is left behind, and everyone gets the financial help they truly need.

This announcement comes at a crucial time when inflation and unemployment have made life increasingly difficult for low-income families. By addressing past technical and bureaucratic hurdles, the government is not only ensuring transparency but also rebuilding trust among the public. The Rs27,000 lump-sum payment could be a lifeline for many households, helping them manage daily expenses or pay off debts.

Moreover, linking the process with SMS-based verification and NADRA updates is a smart move to make the system more efficient and accessible even in rural areas. However, awareness is key — if eligible women are unaware of these changes or don’t act quickly, they might miss this opportunity.

The success of this initiative will depend largely on effective communication, ground-level support staff, and public vigilance against corruption or exploitation during disbursement.
