12 Rabiul Awal 2024: Eid Miladun Nabi to fall on September 17

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) The Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) will be celebrated on September 17 (Tuesday) as the crescent for Rabiul Awwal was not sighted in Pakistan.
It was announced by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee on Wednesday. The announcement came after the moon sighting committee meeting headed by its chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad held in Islamabad.
Addressing a press conference after the meeting, Maulana Azad said, "We didn t receive reports of moon sighting and the committee, with consensus, concluded that the month of Rabi ul Awal will commence on September 6 (Friday).”
On 12th day of the Islamic month, Muslims around the world celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), known as Eid Milad un Nabi.
The 12th Rabiul Awal is declared a public holiday, with all public and private offices and educational institutions remaining closed.
