ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): PTI leader Barrister Salman Akram Raja met Chief Justice Yahya Afridi to raise serious concerns about former prime minister Imran Khan’s health.

PTI’s nominated secretary general Barrister Salman Akram Raja met Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, according to “Suno News”. Sources said the meeting lasted over thirty minutes, during which PTI’s concerns were clearly conveyed.

Speaking to the media afterward, Salman Akram Raja said he remained in contact with the chief justice and the attorney general since morning. He added that after a full day of efforts, the outcome was far from satisfactory.

He said they were assured that medical reports of the PTI founder would be provided. “The health of the PTI founder is more important to us than anything else,” he stated. He added that the reports would be shared with Imran Khan and his sisters, and private doctors would be allowed access after reviewing the reports.

Earlier, Salman Akram Raja said it was admitted that Imran Khan had pain in his eye and that an eye operation was carried out. He said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister was scheduled to meet Imran Khan, but no meeting was allowed.

He said Imran Khan’s private doctors had arrived from Lahore and waited outside Adiala Jail for two hours but were denied permission to meet. He added that jail rules require families to be informed when a prisoner is taken to hospital.

Salman Akram Raja said they came to meet the chief justice and also briefed the registrar on the entire situation. He said the attorney general assured cooperation. “We will stay here until our demands are accepted,” he said.

Senior PTI leader Latif Khosa said authorities did not admit for five days that Imran Khan had been taken for treatment. He said the procedure carried out at PIMS could not have been completed in twenty minutes. “Imran Khan is our red line, and no one can play with his health,” he warned.

Latif Khosa added that the registrar was asked to pass PTI’s concerns to the chief justice. He reminded the judiciary of its oath to protect fundamental rights and said the public expects justice to prevail.

The issue has increased political tension. Health transparency remains the main demand. Judicial response will shape public trust.
