PTI chairman, Barrister Gohar has rejected the allegation published in British magazine. He called them “frivolous” and “baseless.”
He stated that the party reserves all the rights to take legal action against the publication for Bushra Bibi and the PTI founder.
While speaking to a local news channel, Gohar emphasized that attempts mad to defame Bushra Bibi would not be succeeding.
He said, “Bushra Bibi cannot be broken by such tactics,” noting that she remains steadfast despite the unfounded accusations circulating online and in foreign media.
Gohar criticized the magazine directly, stressing that it “is not a scripture” and cannot be treated as an unquestionable authority.
He further referenced past incidents, including media apologies to public figures like Donald Trump, to highlight that media outlets can make serious errors.
The allegations stem from a report by The Economist, which suggested that Bushra Bibi exercised undue influence over government appointments and daily policy decisions during her husband Imran Khan’s tenure.
The report also raised concerns about spiritual consultations and practices allegedly affecting governance decisions.
Former insiders cited in the report claimed that Bushra Bibi’s advice influenced key government decisions, and that certain intelligence and administrative personnel provided information to her, which she conveyed to Imran Khan.

Critics argued that this influence reportedly hindered Khan’s political agenda and reform efforts.
Despite these claims, PTI maintains that the allegations are untrue and damaging to Bushra Bibi’s reputation. Barrister Gohar reiterated that the party will explore legal remedies to address the Bushra Bibi allegations and protect the integrity of both the former first lady and the PTI founder.
