In a statement shared on X, the minister confirmed that Imran Khan was shifted from Adiala Jail to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences under strict security arrangements for a second medical procedure related to his eye condition.
He said all legal and humanitarian requirements were fully observed during the transfer. According to the minister, the move was handled transparently and in accordance with established procedures.
Doctors at PIMS reportedly observed improvement in his vision after administering the second dose of an anti-VEGF injection. The procedure was carried out following a detailed examination by a board of specialist doctors.

After receiving medical clearance, Imran Khan was shifted back to Adiala Jail.
The minister emphasized that providing medical care to prisoners is a constitutional obligation and that all necessary arrangements were made in line with the law.
