The party’s chairperson, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, announced that “PPP rejects proposal to change NFC formula,” while addressing a joint press conference alongside Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani and other PPP leaders.
The meeting of PPP’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) was held to discuss and make important decisions regarding the 27th amendment.
While addressing the press conference, Bilawal said that PPP’s CEC meeting only supports the proposal of the amendment related to Article 243.
He also mentioned that the party rejects all other proposed amendments to the Constitution.
Bilawal added that the final decision on the proposed amendment will be made after the CEC meeting scheduled after Friday prayers.
He said that a delegation from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), led by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, had approached them to support the 27th constitutional amendment.

The meeting was chaired by President Asif Ali Zardari, along with senior party leader Faryal Talpur and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. It was attended by the party’s ministers from Sindh and Balochistan, as well as governors from Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
