Lahore to get Pakistan’s first ship restaurant along canal – What makes it a dream project

LAHORE (Web Desk): The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Punjab has announced the construction of a unique ship restaurant and picnic points along the Lahore Canal, aiming to create a new recreational hub for residents.

According to officials, the Rs484,100,000 project has been formally advertised, and bids have been invited through e-tendering. The last date for submission of tenders has been set as November 13, 2025.

The innovative project will be developed at the confluence of the Lahore Canal and is expected to be completed within one year. It will feature modern dining areas, entertainment facilities, and scenic water views for visitors.

PHA authorities said the goal is to enhance the city’s beauty while providing world-class recreational opportunities for Lahoris. The upcoming ship restaurant will be the first of its kind along the canal and is expected to become a major attraction for both locals and tourists.
