(Web Desk): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa announces February 5 as a public holiday for Kashmir Solidarity Day; offices, schools closed, rallies and prayers to honor Kashmiri martyrs.

The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has declared Thursday, February 5, 2026, a public holiday across the province to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day. All government offices, educational institutions, and private offices will remain closed on this day, according to an official notification issued by the provincial administration.

The government has urged citizens to observe a one-minute silence at 10:00 am to honor the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs. Across KP, events including rallies, gatherings, and prayer sessions will be organized to commemorate the day in line with directives from the Government of Pakistan.

Authorities have emphasized that this public holiday provides an opportunity for the people of KP to show their solidarity with the people of Kashmir while participating in peaceful and respectful observances.
