According to sources, He was welcomed at the Noor Khan airbase by PM Shehbaz and President Asif Ali Zardari, where President Subianto was accompanied by a high-level delegation of senior ministers and top officials.
The Foreign Office (FO) earlier said the visit will focus on a “wide-ranging agenda” aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and exploring new areas of cooperation.
This is President Subianto’s first visit to Pakistan. The last Indonesian presidential visit was in 2018 when former president Joko Widodo travelled to Islamabad. The FO noted that the current visit carries significance as it coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

During his stay, Subianto will hold delegation-level talks with PM Shehbaz and meet President Zardari. He will also be called on by the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
Several memoranda of understanding are expected to be signed after the talks. Discussions will cover cooperation in trade, investment, defense, health, IT, climate, education, and culture, along with collaboration at regional and global levels. Officials say both sides are ready to expand their partnership across multiple sectors.
Pakistan and Indonesia have long maintained strong relations based on shared cultural and religious ties. In recent engagements, both countries have expressed interest in boosting defense cooperation, health collaboration, vaccine development, and human resource exchange.
