Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar has clarified reports regarding the health of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, confirming that he was taken from Adiala Jail to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on Saturday night for a routine eye examination.
Speaking to a private news channel, Tarar explained that ophthalmologists who visited Adiala Jail recommended a brief medical visit to PIMS for minor procedures. The examination lasted approximately 20 minutes, after which Khan was safely returned to the jail.
Medical Check Details
Atta Tarar emphasized that Imran Khan’s eyes were thoroughly examined by specialist doctors at PIMS, and no health issues were detected. “During the medical check-up, he was found to be completely healthy,” he said.
The minister stressed that the visit was routine and precautionary, clarifying ongoing public speculation about Khan’s health following reports earlier this week.

Family Concerns
Khan’s sister, Alima Khan, had earlier expressed concern over his treatment in government hospitals, stating that the family was not informed of any developments regarding his health. She highlighted the sensitivity of the situation and emphasized the need for transparency about his care.
The federal minister assured the public that Imran Khan remains in good health, and the brief PIMS visit was solely for standard ophthalmic evaluation recommended by jail doctors.
