In a message on social media site X (formerly Twitter), Aleema Khan said her brother, former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has been held in complete solitary confinement for the past three months. She called the confinement illegal under Pakistan’s laws and a serious violation of fundamental human rights.
She added, “International law clearly recognizes solitary confinement as a form of torture, yet Imran Khan is being denied his most basic legal rights. Every Tuesday, six family members and six lawyers have a legal right to meet him, but we are being deprived of this constitutional and legal right.”

Aleema Khan urged PTI workers to gather outside Adiala Jail tomorrow at 1pm for Khatm-e-Quran, followed by collective prayers after Asr. She said the prayers are for the release of Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, and all those detained unlawfully.
She also appealed to Pakistanis nationwide and abroad to join in collective dua at 3:30pm Pakistan time for their safe release.
