According to the jail sources, Yasmin Rashid has been shifted to Shaukat Khanum Hospital where doctors conducted her medical examination.

“The situation will be clear after Yasmin Rashid is tested for cancer. Her condition worsened due to late treatment. The court has given written orders many times that she should be treated,” her lawyer said.

It should be remembered here that Dr Yasmin Rashid was hospitalised in May and June too, and she was moved back to the jail after treatment and recovery of health.

Several PTI leaders have been in jail for being involved in the May 9 incidents. In February, Mehmood ur Rasheed and Ejaz Chaudhry were indicted in the cases of burning vehicles and police station Shadman.
