The hearing of the PTI case regarding the 2014 protests was conducted by Judicial Magistrate Shehzad Khan at the District and Sessions Courts Islamabad. During the hearing, arrest warrants were issued for MNA Khurram Shehzad, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, and other workers due to their absence.

The court has initiated the process of declaring Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri a proclaimed offender and adjourned the case until May 5. Imran Khan has been granted permanent exemption from attendance in the related cases. Two cases have been registered against PTI’s founder and others at the Secretariat police station.

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has described PTI founder Imran Khan as a role model in politics.

Imran Khan is strictly following his principles while adhering to ideology, said Ali Amin Gandapur.

Chief Minister Gandapur inaugurated the newly-constructed Jaroba Dam in Nowshera. The KP CM was flanked by the provincial ministers and members of KP assembly from Nowshera.

 “KP government is putting efforts to improve the performance of all departments. The government is taking possible measure to provide young people with employments. We will invest in our people,” Gandapur said.

The dam was constructed at a cost of Rs777 million, the 115-foot-high and 697-foot-wide. The dam is anticipated to bring 930 acres of barren land under cultivation by providing 4.65 cusecs of irrigation water.
